King of the castle

As you can see my little monkey has learned to jump on the settee, which she thinks is a fantastic game!
Willow hasn't tried to get on yet, I don't think she is as confident in her athletic abilities (bit like me!), Rosie however acts like she is training to win gold medal in the 2012 Olympics, 100m sprint and high-jump are her two main specialities.
Rosie will now come and join you on the settee when you are watching telly and sometimes sit on the back; over your shoulder like a parrot and lick you on the face!
What are visitors going to think!! :-D
Funny bunnies
My two bunnies oh how different you are. This is typical behaviour:
Bunny number one:
Enjoying the nice warm sun in the porch, soaking it up like a good bunny.
Meanwhile... Bunny number two:
Quite!

Rubbish action shots
I would love to get an action shot of the buns playing like this: http://www.binkybunny.com/WEBCAMS/tabid/84/Default.aspx (I used to watch that webcam a long time ago, the other day I discovered this one http://www.bklynbunny.com/)
I think my action photography needs work, or I need a bigger better camera!

Mixing bowl III
Growing fast now. This week Willow was 1050g and Rosemary 1.1kg, Willow is only a week behind now, so really pleased :-)
Should I a) help or b) take pictures...!
Went into the kitchen... No Rosie, where has she gone? * Rustlings in the hay box* Look what I find....
Someone wanted fresh hay!!
Had to move the steps now to stop any repeats, as she couldn't get out, I had to lift her. Amongst all the scrabbling to get out there was time for a few month fulls of hay of course! Oh they do make me laugh my little babies.

Antics
Rosemary was a very naughty girl yesterday and ate a rather a large piece of my bedroom wallpaper!
But how can you be cross with this cute little face -->
Willow is getting bigger by the day, and all these sprouts are helping :-) She has also been eating herbs like mint and parsley which Rosie oddly wont touch. Rabbits are supposed to love herbs.
As I type Rosie is running around the house at full speed, they get crazy at this time of night. She was being naughty chewing again before, so I picked up her to move her, and she just licked me all over my face! Ah man! How are you supposed to tell them off when they are just way TOO CUTE!

Willow GI stasis update
Been back to the vets again today for Willow's follow up appointment.
SHE weighed 860g at her lowest, but with lots of medicine, Rosie love, human love, and banana she is back up to 880g. Go Willow!
Also asked the vet to look at 'his' bits and pieces as 12 weeks old is the time to separate does and bucks. Turns out we have two does. My little girlies :-)
Willow has been acting like a little dog since we have been feeding her up on tip bits, carrot medicine, and medicine mushed into banana. She has been following us around the kitchen like a dog to heel waiting for the next bit of food it is so funny! I will try and get a video of it. Chopping carrots for tea, zoom, she knows, I had no idea a rabbits sense of smell was so good.
Weekly fatness update:
Willow: 12 weeks @ 880g
Rosemary: 12 weeks @ 1050g
Good job I started doing that, it has been useful for the vet, I only did it initially because putting a rabbit in a mixing bowl is funny!

The V.E.T.s
Willow has been to the vets today for his weight loss, here he is enjoying his carrot flavour medicine!
The vet was a bit confused as everything else apart from his weight was fine. So he thinks Willow's gut has slowed down or has a blockage.
The skinny one has been camped out in front of the bedroom radiator for most of the day keeping his little bods nice and toasty.

A few of my favourite things...
Willow loves to lick, especially James! He chases his hands about .....
Rosie loves to climb, soon as you say hello she is trying to get up onto your knee <3 ....

And oddly not the other way around, Rosie doesn't lick and Willow doesn't climb!
Mixing bowl II
The buns have just had their weekly weigh-in, sat in the mixing bowl again :-)
Willow @ 890g
Rosemary @ 990g
Willow has lost weight and is almost back to what he was at 8 weeks, he feels so boney to stroke don't know what going on with Mr bunny.
Miss bunny on the other hand is doing really well and her fur is super smooth and glossy too.

Oh my haven't you grown!
New weigh in Willow @ 930g, Rosie @ 950g. I thought they might have reached a kilo because suddenly last week they seemed really big not so mini-bunnies to pick up and hold any more!
Need to spilt them up soon :-(

Hocks II
Willow's foot doesn't seem to be getting better, infarct it looks bigger, and it has started on the other foot too :-(
He has a knobbly bone at the worn out point poor thing. I thought it was the carpet causing it but they have been off it for a week nearly and Rosie's feet are perfectly fine.
Their new 'vetbed' finally came today; made them a new cushioned bed under a lettuce box, they seem to like it <3

Willow
This is Willow being a daft bat this evening. I was stroking him and he got more and more comfy, eyes closing, and then all of a sudden he just flopped down on his back almost, and started doing this:
Rabbit in a mixing bowl
Rabbit weekly weigh in! Definitely seemed bigger in the bowl this week!
Last week @ 8 weeks:
Willow 880g
Rosemary 805g
Yesterday @ 9 weeks:
Willow 910g
Rosemary 900g
Rosie has gained loads! Must be all that hay -->

Hocks
Discovered this evening that Willow-pops has a poorly foot. He has a bald patch on it, probably from too much high speed cornering on the carpet :-( So they have emigrated to the kitchen for a change of floor. Reading about bare hocks/sore hocks makes it seem like it's hard to cure forever, and he might always be prone. Pet insurance time?! :-S

Photoshoot
It was just me and my guard-bunnies today, so we attempted some modelling! Actually Willow was quite good, but Rosemary just would not sit still (I think Willow has been feeling a bit sad today as he didn't come out to play much and was more interested in sleeping and food :-( ).
This is what most of the photos ended up looking like: Willow being good (albeit looking disapproving http://www.disapprovingrabbits.com/) and Rosie leaping around.
We did manage some nice ones though.

And then Rosie finally sat still to chew the towel - right I give up!

Busted!
Look who I just caught having a kip on sticks... hehe :-) They are going on the platform a bit more now ever since we played hide and seek with carrot pieces; wedged in between the sticks. ...Got to keep checking to see if any more have appeared....
Also the new litter tray seems to be a success - phew!

Stinky carpet
There has been a cage update today, as the rabbits who have been using their litter tray good as gold from day one, have wee'd over the edge of the tray for two nights in a row (stinky carpet). So I have bought them a higher sided litter tray (still not very high but best I could find in Morecambe). Let's see how we get on...
Also added a new level to the cage, had a towel on it at first, but Willow was eating it! They don't seem that keen on it at the moment.
Video - exploring
Couple of videos of the little ones exploring, a bit long and boring but there is some fun giddiness at the end. I want to take as many photos and videos of them when they are tiny as I can, because when they are big I know I will be like :O 'were they really that small?!'
Uh oh...
.... who's given them the taste for freedom?!
The bunnies have been let loose and have caused mayhem. The carpets are especially good fun to nibble at apparently.... not to mention the door, the wallpaper, and the internet cable that I am still waiting for the O.H. to re-route though the loft :-D
Divided the lounge in half and let them run round that, as I read that giving them a too larger area at once can cause a "poop-fest". Not a single round little present from these two angelic ones however :)

Zoom zoom
The buns are enjoying their new life at the Sarah and James household. Willow has come out of his shell and joining his sister in running like crazy happy buns round the cage. On the wine box.... off the wine box... in the litter tray... in the wine box... zoom zoom. So fun to watch (this PhD isn't doing itself!)
The happy pair <3 and a fluffy bum.
New home
Willow and Rosie came home to our bungalow in Morecambe on Sunday 8th January. They are brother and sister from the same litter, and 8 weeks old.
Rosie seemed more confident than Willow, Willow sat at the very back of the pet carrier for the journey back, whilst Rosie sat at the front looking me.
They soon settled in, this photo was taken an hour or so after they landed! Rosie can be seen zooming around, happily exploring her new cage.
